  • The Foundation assisted the Community Health Center in providing access to timely and high-quality primary health care services to low-income or working uninsured persons and families. $25,000.00
  • The Foundation contributed to the Hospital's Hospice and Palliative Care Services, which provides end-of-life care that includes the physical, spiritual and psychological needs of patients and families. $25,969.00
  • The Foundation contributed significantly to the Memory Care Center. The center offeres an adult day program of activities and social interaction for clients with dementia and is considered one of the top programs in the state. Funds ensure availability of services to clients in the community who could otherwise not afford them. $57,788.00
  • Through the generousity of Dr. William and Mrs. Ruth Evans, Ashland Community Hospital Foundation provides scholarships each year to future Rogue Valley nurses. Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the nursing program of Oregon Health Science University at Southern Oregon University and Rogue Community College. For the 2008 calendar year, the Foundation provided 20 scholarships. $18,000.00
  • The Foundation provided financial assistance to Ashland Community Hospital employees in hardship situations through the Employee Assistance Fund.
    $1,895.00
  • The Foundation assisted in the purchase of a new Telemetry Unit for the Ashland Community Hospital Birth Center. $6,072.00
  • Through the Foundation's Annual Patrons Campaign and Lights For Life Campaign, the Foundation was able to purchase a new Digital Mammography System for ACH Diagnostic Imaging Services. The system allows ACH to offer safer and softer mammograms, with the addition of the mammopad and the low dose digital technology. Also, through a generous grant provided by the Soroptomist International Club, the Foundation was able to award funding to ACH so they could offer mammograms to low income and uninsured women. $248,700.00
  • The Foundation provided funding for the school nurse program for the elementary schools in the Phoenix-Talent District. The funding was made possible through the Reed and Carolee Walker Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. $50,000.00
  • Through the generousity of Jed and Celia Meese, the Foundation was able to honor the 2008 Distinguished Service Award recipient, Bruce E. Johnson, M.D. for his service and committment to Ashland Community Hospital and the Foundation. $150.00
  • The Foundation provided funding for Diagnostic Imaging Staff to take continuing education training. $1,474.00
  • The Foundation participated in the capital campaign to fund the new La Clinica Central Point Health Center. Supporting the La Clinica expansion fulfills the urgent need in our community to provide affordable and quality health-care to uninsured and other underserved populations. $10,000.00
  • The Foundation provided nursing program support to Oregon Health Sciences University to assist in providing future nurses for the healthcare community. $12,000.00
  • The Foundation provided nursing program support to Rogue Community College to assist in providing future nurses for the healthcare community. $7,500.00
  • The Foundation provided a number of small grants to support Ashland Community Hospital including funding for charity care, Physical Therapy Aquatics Program, and Phoenix-Talent School Nurse Program, and providing art work to various patient and family waiting areas as part of the Planetree initiative. $3,974.00
