Joy Dobson Way, RN, Retired

Joy Dobson Way is a registered nurse (retired) with extensive experience in patient care, education, administration, and health care consulting. She was founding Executive Director of the Petaluma (CA) Healthy Community Consortium and has served as Director of Governance Services at Sutter Health (Sacramento), Vice President for Nursing at Santa Rosa (CA) Memorial Hospital, and Director of Nursing Services at Petaluma (CA) Valley Hospital.

Joy has an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ventura (CA) College, a BSN from Sonoma State (CA) University, and a MSN from the University of California, San Francisco. She has been active in community organizations for 30 years and has served on several boards including Soroptimist International of Ashland, Southern Oregon American Red Cross, Sacramento Children’s Home, California Hospice Foundation, American Association of University Women, Hospice of Petaluma, American Cancer Society, and Petaluma Woman’s Club, She was elected to the Petaluma Health Care District Board in 1992 and was appointed to the Delta Memorial Hospital Board (Antioch, CA.) in 1995.

Joy moved to Ashland in 2007 after a one-year USA RV tour. She is married and has 2 sons, who live in Los Angeles.
