Sharon Laskos was born at Ashland Community Hospital back when it was on today’s SOU campus. She was raised in Ashland and after graduating from Ashland High, went to nursing school at Seattle Pacific University. Sharon worked summers at Ashland Hospital before graduating with a BS in nursing. She met her husband, Ed, playing tennis in the Bay Area, and they were able to move back to Ashland in 1990 to raise their children. Their son was born at Ashland Hospital.
Sharon enjoys playing tennis, walking, baking, two grandchildren and her large Rogue Valley family. She is also Deacons treasurer at First Presbyterian church, and active in the Ashland Tennis and Fitness Club.
As a retired RN, and a 6th generation Ashlander, Sharon appreciates the gift Ashland hospital is to our community. “From birth to broken bones, to elder care to hospice, the hospital has been there for our family, and we work to help it continue.”
