Butler Ford Rallies for Patient Care

Drive Check presentation photo

Employees, volunteers, physicians, and community members came together to participate in Butler Ford’s Drive 4 UR Community fundraiser on May 2. By test driving Ford vehicles, attendees raised $5,880 in donations, which will be used to support patient care initiatives at Asante Ashland Community Hospital.

The Butler Automotive Group presented the check to CEO Sheila Clough, Ashland Community Hospital Foundation president Liz Murphy, and foundation staff.

For those unfamiliar with this event, the rules were simple: Each no-obligation test drive could earn $20, for a maximum contribution of $6,000. Each driver had to have a unique valid address, and complete a short survey about the Ford brand. At the end of event, Butler staff rushed the results off to Ford Motor Corp., where they were reviewed.

Butler Automotive Group and community members contributed additional donations to get us to the finish line and our $6,000 goal. In total, the event raised more than $7,400 in cash and in-kind contributions.

We want to thank all the drivers, volunteers, musicians, and food trucks for their participation; the local businesses that donated goods for prizes; and The Human Bean, which kept test drivers fueled with complimentary coffee.

Last, but not least, a special thank you to Chuck and Linda Butler and the staff at the Butler Automotive Group for choosing us for the fundraiser, and for all their hard work and support.
