Grant Awarded to Asante Ashland for COVID-19 Response

Earlier this summer a grant in the amount of $84,317 was awarded to Ashland Community Hospital Foundation to support the COVID-19 prevention and response efforts at Asante Ashland Community Hospital.

The grant offsets expenses incurred by Asante Ashland for detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 patients. Funds support the increased need for testing, clinical services, equipment and to address financial and staffing challenges due to the impact of COVID-19. The grant is made possible through the Small Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) administered by Oregon Health and Science University Office of Rural Health.

Asante Ashland meets the criteria of a rural hospital in Oregon because it has fewer than 50 licensed beds and is 30 miles or less from another acute inpatient facility.

Ashland Community Hospital Foundation recognizes the tremendous strain COVID-19 has placed on our healthcare system both locally and globally, and we are pleased to have been able to secure this funding for Asante Ashland.
