Past Year’s Giving
How Your Donations Make a Difference
In 2017, the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation, received over $562,000 in charitable contributions and endowment earnings. Part of our success was the result of a $40,000 challenge match for the Patrons Campaign by an anonymous donor to help commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation.
Your donations help improve hospital facilities, programs and services, and strengthen our existing endowments. We would like to thank all of our generous donors who made these gifts possible. Here are some of the highlights:
-A new DEXA Scanner is now available to patients receiving care at Asante Ashland. The new technology has increased our ability to diagnose and treat osteoporosis, bone disease and fracture risk.
-Equipment and services are being enhanced in the Emergency Department for you, your family, and the over 11,000 patients who receive these critical services each year.
-The William G. and Ruth T. Evans Endowed Nursing Scholarship awarded $100,000 in scholarships to local nursing students last year. The awards included $93,000 to 16 students enrolled in nursing programs at Oregon Health & Science University (Ashland Campus) and Rogue Community College. A total of $6,936 was awarded to 16 Licensed Practical Nursing students at Rogue Community College.
